Grace Takes Away Fear of the Unknown

Fear became a permanent attribute to every man because of the fall of man in the garden of Eden. It was the result of the change of location from the presence of God.

Genesis 3:8-9 - Adam, where are you?

Instead of being joyful, confined with a sense of belonging, fear was first registered the moment they ate the fruit of the tree. Disobedience to God was automatic obedience to satan. This shift brought the fear of the unknown.

The days of their obedience positioned them in a comfortable place of safety and contentment.

God's presence gave them a sense of purpose, safety, and distinction. They were connected to God. Discontentment began because they were dismembered from God into darkness without vision, purpose, or direction. Fear of the unknown is compounded with intimidation of evil.

In the New Testament, we enjoy the new covenant where the grace of our Lord Jesus has given us back the lost treasure of peace and eternal life. The forgiveness of our sins has replaced the total guilt of past sins where self-condemnation activated fear and insecurity.

Romans 3:23-25 - All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Romans 8:1-2 - There is, therefore, no condemnation…

Your belief in what Christ did for you on the cross is good news, and hope to assure you. Grace simply means God paid for every mistake and exchanged our fears of the unknown with the certainties of abundant life and a future.

Grace also has created a new atmosphere of visions, dreams, and inheritance. That is as the down payment for our blessings.

Ephesians 1:13-14 - Seated with the Holy Spirit of promise - Earnest of our inheritance.

So now that we are in Christ, His grace has restored us and has made us members of the Kingdom of His dear son Jesus.

Read Colossians 1:13-19.

The grace of the Lord Jesus has taken away the fear of the unknown and gives us confidence in the known promises and purpose and be strong and courageous in Christ.
